Missions

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NIV)
Our world is changing rapidly and our missions strategy at Central Baptist is developing to meet the challenge in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). We are committed to developing a comprehensive missions strategy that involves leading our members in missions education and missions involvement.
Missions Education
Missions education is provided through our missions organizations. Children learn about other people groups around the world through Missions Friends for preschoolers, and for children in grades one through sixth, Royal Ambassadors (RAs)for boys and Girls in Action (GAs)for girls. Women on Mission meet each month and sponsor mission awareness activities throughout the year.
Missions Involvement
* Each year our junior high & high school students take a mission trip to New Orleans, Louisiana to present Back Yard Bible Clubs in various housing projects and Vietnamese language churches.
* Mission Mexico is our adult mission trip. 2005 was our first trip. We went to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, to work alongside Primera Iglesia Bautista (First Baptist Church) to build friendships, do medical/dental clinics and Gospel saturation. The dates for Mission Mexico were July 31 - August 6.
